When the Bloody August (revealed to be Azalie) appears she's confronted by Orphen, who insists that she must retreat and leave the sword. She doesn't take it well and when he attempts to bind her in ice a stray blast of magic sets her free. It prompts the retreat of the creature.
After Hartia finds Orphen he expresses that he's been sent by the Tower of Fang to bring Orphen back either as a student or a prisoner. The conflict that results distracts both from the Bloody August, who has appeared and kidnapped Cleao and Mariabelle!
