Summary:

Orphen travels to the beautiful city of canals, Alenhatem, in order to find an old friend. He finds her at the center of a mysterious tragedy, and what's more, terrorized by an ancient machine from long ago. This remnant of the past plans to kill every sorcerer that it can catch, and as the group fights for their lives, they slowly come to understand the startling secrets behind the sorcerer hunts of old Alenhatam and why the dragons might have disappeared.
