Vinvi Stottaul is a young sorcerer around Orphen's age, who serves as a student of the Whurl Class of the Tower of Fang. He also serves as a secretary, handling paperwork for the Tower.

Personality

Like his classmates, Vinvi doesn't care for Hydrant's reckless use of sorcery. That being said, he lives for a good fight. Even though he was disappointed to end up with Cleao as an opponent, he continued the battle even after being mutilated, fearless of the fact that he may be contending with a young Deep Dragon.

Appearance

Vinvi, as a sorcerer's apprentice doesn't hold a high enough rank to wear the black robe, but he still wears black clothing. Primarily, a black high-collared shirt worn over a white undershirt. He wears a cheesy looking skull ring on his right ring finger. A lapel is pinned to the tall neck of his undershirt, indicating his status as a secretary, and he's noted to be quite tall.

History

Totokanta Years:

When Venvi was around 13 years old, he was expelled from a class in Totokanta for poor behavior. He was later hired into the Tower of Fang, as he had the proper history for it, but had never been to the Tower before. This was an oversight, as they had only checked their own records, and not the records of other sorcerer establishments. When word got to the Whurl Class that Forte Packingum was looking for a secret agent following the slaughter of a Dragon Faith group, he submitted his application, and soon became a secretary. However, he was known to sneak out and hold secret meetings with Whurl Karlen.

The Whurl Class's Assault::

When Whurl Karlen decided to make his move, Vinvi was sent along with Hydrant and Suaine to take out the few night guards as well as Orphen's group. However, Hydrant shot off and caused a massive explosion, putting their operation at risk. He then followed after Orphen, while Suaine was teleported away by Leki, leaving Vinvi to deal with Cleao alone. With the plan quickly falling apart, he even planned to try to ditch his comrades and escape alone.

Loss of a Name:

Though he's known by a specific name, Vinvi actually forgot his original name after undergoing traumatic torture two years prior to the story. Though he picked up his life as Vinvi Stottaul this name, too, was forgotten after he was struck over the head with a sock full of stones by Cleao. This put an end to his involvement in the Whurl Class's uprising.

Skills

Stabber Training:

Vinvi is trained in the art of assassination by Whurl Karlen, the current leading assassin of the Tower. He didn't get many chances to exhibit these skills, however.

Spells

"Die!"
An explosive spell, though its exact effects are unknown.

"Disappear!"
A spell used to extinguish flames. It's accompanied by the sound of a thread being pulled taught, and then cut. This spell is highly effective against fire, not just removing the flames themselves, but instantly removing their heat from the surrounding area.

"Heal!"
A powerful healing spell that will rewrap even severe wounds in flesh and skin. Vinvi used this to close the wound on his right arm after his hand was torn off.

"Melt"
This spell, presumeably a heat spell, was almost used by Vinvi but he was wounded by Leki before he could complete the composition, so its effects are unknown.

"Shine"
Like many other light spells, Shine creates a glowing orb that illuminates the surrounding area.

Assorted Facts

 •  Vinvi accepted the loss of his hand quickly, claiming he knew a good prosthetics guy.
